WLDS-10 & 20 mk3 water leak detection systems

The WLDS-10 mk3 & WLDS-20 mk3 water leak detection systems monitor the flow of water into a building and sound an alarm and / or shut off the supply should the flow rate exceed preset parameters.

WLDS water leak detection systems activate when the flow exceeds the preset maximum for the preset period of time and can identify different flow and therefore leakage rates, in accordance with BREEAM Wat 3. These parameters can be adjusted by the user to allow for different conditions.

IMPORTANT: in order that meaningful parameters are entered, a full water audit should be carried out in order to establish water consumption trends over a period of time.

WLDS-10 & WLDS-20 Mk3 WATER LEAK DETECTION SYSTEMS

Designed to detect major water leaks and help prevent flood damage caused by leaking pipes and fittings or by vandalism.

The WLDS-10 Mk3 water leak detector panel is connected to a pulse water meter installed at the site boundary or main intake point of the building and hence monitors the consumption of water. An audible/visual alarm output is activated when a continuous flow of water passes through the water meter at a flow rate above a preset maximum for a preset period of time.
A Normally Open free contact is provided for connection to a BMS (Building Management System) or to activate a local sounder/beacon type alarm – see accessories below.
A free contact is also provided to shut off the water supply via a solenoid shut off valve if required. This contact may be programmed to suit a Normally Closed or a Normally Open solenoid valve as required.

The WLDS-20 Mk3 is for installations where a pulse water meter is installed at the site boundary and at the main intake point of the building and in addition can detect a loss of water between the site boundary and the main intake point.

ACCESSORIES: SB-100 24v DC Sounder Beacon, can be hardwired locally or elsewhere in the building, programmable sound and volume. WMB-100 set of 4 steel wall mounting brackets, these enable the panel to be wall mounted using screws or bolts external to the panel.

NEW WLDS-10 & WLDS-20 MK3 FEATURES FROM APRIL 2018
SOLENOID VALVE SETUP: enables a Normally Closed or a Normally Open solenoid valve to be selected in software. Also a timed valve service function can be set to reduce the likelihood of valve sticking due to calcification etc.

EXTERNAL ALARM INPUT: This input is available for the connection of ancillary equipment such as tape leak sensing to be interfaced to the water leak detection system.
ENCLOSURE: slightly larger at 300 x 300 x 150mm with a RH hinged door. This facilitates easier wall mounting and access to the internal terminals.
