HOW LONG DO THE BATTERIES LAST IN YOUR WATER SAVING DEVICES?  We are often asked this question by new customers.  Our Autosave B01 water saving device and Autosave B02 water saving device utilise a 6v DC magnetic latching solenoid valve. These valves only require a short duration pulse typically 30 to 60 milliseconds in order to latch the valve open or to de-latch the valve closed again. The valve will thus stay in its open or closed state using zero power and only a miniscule amount of power is required to change its state. Hence a set of 4 AA size alkaline cells will last for typically 3 years!
